Becky Carr was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up in a loving, supportive, and chaotic household, as she is the baby of 5 children. There was always something going on and always someone there to play with. Ever since she first started walking Becky has always been very active, driven, and naturally athletic. She started playing soccer at the age of 3. This is an important milestone in her life, as it would later help her realize her passion for the sport and working with children. After growing up behind 4 other siblings, soccer would become Becky’s niche. It was her own. It was her own world, and she excelled at it. As a youth, she juggled competitive club soccer, school soccer, and Olympic Development Soccer all at the same time. Â
Becky was recruited to a private, liberal arts school, Berry College, to go to on a full soccer and academic scholarship. Soccer was her ticket into college. During the school year, school work and soccer became life. During her college summers she would spend half the summer babysitting and the other half would be spent traveling across the U.S. coaching soccer camps. She soon found that coaching came naturally as well as working with kids. Soccer gave her structure, a goal, and a competitive and fun outlet as a child, and she realized she wanted to share this world with other children. She had found her calling.
Directly out of college, Becky went straight into full time coaching for youth soccer clubs and nannying. She has since coached youth soccer, toddler soccer, and college soccer. Becky has been working with kids for the past 9 years. She still plays professionally for the Maine Tide, coaches youth soccer, and nannies for a local family in Atlanta. She gets a great sense of joy out of seeing a child’s eyes light up when they learn something new about the world around them. Each child has their own language with the world and the people surrounding them. If you spend enough time with a child, they will let you into that world of magic and allow you to be a part of it with them. This is what makes life!
Becky was driven forward with this business idea after realizing a great need in this world for better role models. Genuine and loving caretakers are in great demand in our society today. Children need to know there are people out there they can depend on. Let Becky help you connect with those people.
